Anansi’s bench
Some kind person has seen to it to furnish Malcolm X Park with its very own theft-resistant and weather-proof copy of “Anansi The Spider,” Gerald McDermott‘s classic 1972 retelling of an Ashanti folktale.
It turns out that McDermott is also a creator of animated films. Here’s a great little piece from 1971 he did for The Electric Company:
